JEDCO is seeking nominations for its 2016 Small Business of the Year Award.
Purpose: To recognize a business firm (or firms) for its contribution to the Jefferson Parish economy and community.
Procedure: JEDCO staff will solicit and review all nominations for eligibility. Nominations will then be evaluated and selected by the JEDCO Nominating Committee.
Timing: Deadline for application/nomination is September 30, 2016. The award will be presented at the JEDCO Annual Luncheon in December.
Eligibility:
- Company must be headquartered in Jefferson Parish
- Company must be in continuous operation for at least 36 months
- Company must have an active occupational license
- Company must have fewer than 200 employees
- Recipient will be subject to Dun & Bradstreet and criminal checks
- Company/Principals’ civic or charitable involvement will be used as a selection criteria; however, this is not a primary determinant.
